Review
The 2010 Honda Ridgeline is a Sport Utility Truck that offers many of the features of a truck with a car-like ride. It’s an all-wheel-drive vehicle, but it doesn’t have the off-road capabilities that more standard trucks have. Still, the Ridgeline is as much truck as many people will need. The Ridgeline will seat five, comes in three available trims (RT, RTS, and RTL), and has one engine. This car review will help you decide whether you should choose the Ridgeline over the competition.Specifications

Exterior Features
Not everybody finds the exterior of the 2010 Honda Ridgeline to be pleasing, but it does have some excellent exterior features. It has an in-bed lockable trunk with 8.5 cubic feet of space. While this is a very useful feature, it can be difficult to access when the truck is fully loaded. The composite bedliner resists dents. The tail gate will flip down or swing out like a door. Other features vary by trim level. The base RT model has 17-inch steel wheels and a powered rear window. The RTS has 17-inch machined alloy wheels. Upgrade to the RTL to get 18-inch alloy wheels, a sunroof, and fog lights.Interior Features
Interior features on the 2010 Honda Ridgeline vary by trim level. The base model offers air conditioning, cruise control, a trip computer, a rear seat with a 60/40 split and storage underneath, and a stereo with a CD player, mp3 compatibility, and an auxiliary audio port. The RTS has two zones of automatic temperature control, a powered driver seat, and an upgraded audio system that has a six-disc CD changer and audio controls mounted on the steering wheel. The RTL has leather seats (heated in front, satellite radio, and a 115-volt power outlet. The RTL can be upgraded with a navigation package that also has Bluetooth phone compatibility and adds a back-up camera. The front seat of the Ridgeline offers plenty of head and leg room for people of all heights. The back seat has enough room, and can fit three people across if necessary. The seats could be a little bit more padding. There is a nice amount of cargo space, and the lockable trunk is useful.
Performance
The 2010 Honda Ridgeline has a decent amount of get-up-and-go, but there are trucks that have more pep. The Ridgeline can tow up to 5000 pounds or carry a payload of 1546 pounds, but under those loads, the engine will not be as zippy. The engine is paired with a five-speed automatic transmission. The Ridgeline drives more like a car than a truck, and is fairly maneuverable, with a relatively tight turning circle. The brakes are strong. How the 2010 Honda Ridgeline Compares to Other Sport Utility Trucks
The 2010 Honda Ridgeline is not meant to be a tough hauler that will drive off-road or haul a large trailer; however, it will bring home building materials from Home Depot or carry large items home from Costco, which is all many people need a truck for. While you are shopping, you might want to take a look at a couple of other sport utility trucks, or even a couple of trucks, to find out which vehicle would work best.- Chevrolet Avalanche
- Ford Explorer Sport Trac
- Dodge Ram 1500 (for more power)
- Toyota Tacoma (for more pep)
